At the Crater’s Edge invites guests to experience the natural beauty and rich culture of Hawaiʻi in a way that both delights the visitor and promotes tourism that is sustainable for generations to come.
Supporting Hawai’i businesses keeps resources, knowledge, and opportunity within the local community. It strengthens the island economy, reduces our environmental footprint, and ensures that tourism contributes positively to the people and places that host it.
We proudly stock items from Big Island Coffee Roasters, Malie Organics, Hawaiian Chip Company, and Waiākea Water.

Our water supply is a filtered and treated rainwater catchment tank, allowing us to harvest an abundant natural resource.
We minimize single use plastics and prioritize using post-consumer recycled plastics and bulk materials where possible.

Starting in January 2026, we will be donating a portion of our proceeds to local, mission-driven Hawai’i organizations focused on restoring native Hawaiian land, supporting cultural education, and strengthening local communities.
A new organization will be chosen each quarter.

Our guests rely on us as a resource for local insight, and we recommend only approved tourism activities. We provide visitors with practical guidance on respecting cultural sites, natural areas, and local communities. Through this approach, we encourage mindful travel that supports stewardship and helps protect Hawaiʻi for future generations.
